3 Innovative floating solutions for marinas: 1) Breakwater Composite BC serie 4300 (lengths 16m and 20m) 2) All Concrete Composite Pontoon (ACC) - 2400 (lengths 9m, 12m and 15m) 3) Premier Composite Pontoon (PEC) – 3300 (lengths 12m and 16m and 20m) The new floating elements have been developed with a highly innovative combination of concrete and carbon composite reinforcements – a combination of carbon rods and mesh impregnated with epoxy resin arranged to ensure maximum strength and reduce the use of concrete compared to traditional products. In addition, these elements will not require an operational investment in maintenance - due to the coupled reinforcement, the concrete will not crack, there will be no structural deformations, and there will be no corrosion. They are designed to last from 75 years to 100 years. In addition to increased strength and durability, concrete with a new recipe was implemented in the new pontoons. In accordance with the project, about 15% less concrete and about 20% less cement is used for the production of new pontoon elements, which will overall have a significantly lower CO2 emission during production.
Floating elements have a combination of carbon rods and mesh impregnated with epoxy resin, significantly lower CO2.
Technology, i.e. the development that led to the end products is also applicable in other industries. The application of different proportions/combinations of carbon rods and mesh concrete and carbon composite can lead to similar results in other industrial solutions.
Depending on the type of end product, i.e. the needs of the entrepreneur who would use this technology / knowledge, it would be necessary to study in detail whether the trainings.
The solution is in accordance with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards in the EU. for the development of the model of floating solutions, the user obtained the necessary certificates from the Croatian ship register, since it was about floating objects.
Marinetek designed and produced the first innovative, long-lasting and environmentally friendly pontoon as part of the ""ECo marina - Development of innovative blue technologies for marine superstructure"" project.
