Woolpack is a box made of wool, cardboard and waterproof paper intended for the transport of all types of food, with the aim of becoming a key element in the food delivery industry, as an alternative to large styrofoam (EPS) boxes-containers used to transport fresh food to restaurants, markets and large retail chains. Relying on the well-known fact that naturally processed wool is a reliable insulation material, we use low-quality wool for the production of internal insulation layers. Wool provides exceptional protection and insulation for food stored at temperatures between 2-7 degrees Celsius for up to 72 hours.
The main competitors are numerous manufacturers of styrofoam packaging around the world. Compared to them, the production and sales price is up to 50% higher than a Woolapack box of similar volume (20 liters) and dimensions (35x35x35 cm). Compared to the classic styrofoam box, Woolapack can be delivered in a disassembled state from the production site to distant destinations that require cost-effective transport in the form of containerized sea transport. None of the competitors use wool, which is proven to be superior in physical and thermal characteristics when tested against other man-made and natural materials. Additionally, while we wrap our wool in paper, others use plastic packaging for their liners, which in real life takes thousands of years to degrade.
The existing solution of packaging made of wool, paper and cardboard can easily replace processes in the field of packaging and logistics that use the existing solution in the form of styrofoam (EPS) containers without major changes in relation to the current distribution processes. The standard packaging offered by our company can be adapted to customer requirements in terms of dimensions, personalized packaging design in the form of graphic solutions and the purpose of the packaging, depending on the physical product of the potential client.
The Altabox company does not currently provide education or training for users, but it does educate residents on the benefits of using wool as a natural insulator compared to expanded polystyrene (EPS - a non-commercial name for styrofoam) through an action on the website www.nomorestyrofoam.org.
The solution has all relevant certificates in the field of production of packaging for food transport in the EU, and the export of products to EU member states has already been realized.
Our solution is used in companies that deal with food distribution via e-commerce platforms or deliver products to end customers via courier services or their own delivery.

The solution does not require increasing costs; the initial price is 10-20% higher compared to existing solutions, such as styrofoam containers. On the other hand, purchasing our products reduces storage and logistics costs due to the smaller dimensions and the collapsible design of Woolapack transport boxes for the end user compared to styrofoam containers.
