Meti aims to combine the know-how of the most expert operators with data. Using Causal Inference and AI we digitize the process and the expertise present in the company to streamline processes, find the root cause of problems and restart production faster. Meti focuses on process industries and their regulation and quality problems, with use cases in metal, plastic, rubber and pharmaceuticals. Machine builders can build intelligent and deterministic chatbots in Meti, thanks to the cause-effect reasoning of the most expert operators. The finalists exploit Meti to digitize the know-how that distinguishes them from the competition, making it a company asset and making it available to their more junior colleagues. The union of human know-how and machine data allows for more efficient and effective operations, faster maintenance and diagnostics and an improvement in the average quality of the products.
At Meti we leverage the most suitable technologies for each task for our industrial customers. Unlike solutions on the market that try to standardize all procedures or leave great freedom to the operator, Meti combines * the reasoning capabilities of operators by encoding them in cause-effect graphs * the potential of LLMs to quickly retrieve information consistent with the context * a platform designed to be easy to use so that operators themselves contribute to its maintenance
The platform is intended to run both in cloud and on-premise. We have open, standard, connections for data exchange and API for elaboration results along with our user interface. Meti already has connectors for SIEMENS Industrial Edge platform that extend its integrability towards the OT world. Customers can freely develop their own interfaces or could ask for customizations.
A key aspect during the adoption of Meti is the training program on Causal AI and how to digitalize industrial know-how. This is a mandatory step in order to actually use efficiently the plaform. We also offer a consulting service where our experts and data scientists do the knowledge digitalitalizations interviews with the operators and write down the graphs for themselves. First couple of weeks are included in the onboarding offer for the customers.
We are working on the compliance to industrial standars. One of the aims of the platform is the reduction of costs due to better processes. For steel or glass industries, this immediatly translates in less energy costs with great benefits for the environments. On a use-case we are expecting to save costs between hours, materials and energy up to 7mln / years.
A large manufacturer of kit forniture has adopted Meti to troubleshoot the problems that stop the production. The customer nominated 5 expert operators to digitalize their knowledge and reasoning towards the most frequent problems. In a period of 2 months 7 machines have been digitalized and younger operators have access to the platform though tablets along the production lines. Whenever a problem occurs, the operator scans with the tablet a QR code applied on the machine and starts the chatbot asking the operator what he sees. Merging observations, data coming from the machines and the existing know-how and examples the operators are guided to solve faster the problem or to acquire all the needed information for serior operators or maintainers. The customer wanted also a customization to implement within the same plaftorm also the standard procedures (SOP) for the start of the production. Customer is very happy with the platform and aims to gradually release the access to all its 3000 machines.

ROI is around 5 to 10x the total ownership cost of the platform. For machine builders that resell the service the ROI is also immediate since it scales with the number of machines.
The oboarding cost ranges from 5.000 to 50.000 euros in function of the dimension, sector and consulting needed. The platform has a yearly license that goes by the number of users or machines connected. For large corporate flat licences could be discussed.
