Wind Turbine by Windcraft International

Solution overview

Windcraft International has developed an innovative small-scale vertical axis wind turbine designed to provide efficient, sustainable energy in a compact, modular form. The turbine features a unique double-bladed design, modular scalability, and lightweight, recyclable aluminum materials. This solution aims to make wind energy accessible for various applications, from urban environments to dense residential areas, enabling seamless building integration, low noise, and high performance even in non-direct wind conditions. The primary objectives are to offer a flexible, cost-effective renewable energy solution with minimal environmental impact.

Key features

The turbine features a double-bladed design with fixed external baffles that direct wind onto the internal rotor blades, optimizing the wind angle and providing enhanced stability. This design increases efficiency by creating controlled airflow and eliminates blade-to-blade conjunction, which reduces vibration. The modular design allows each system to be composed of standard-sized modules, making scalability easy for various capacities (e.g., an 8 kW system consists of 8 modules). This modularity enables flexible installation options, making the turbine ideal for urban and residential settings. Constructed primarily from lightweight, durable, and 100% recyclable aluminum, the turbine contributes to a lower environmental footprint and streamlined production.

Integration and adaptability in manufacturing environments

The modular and lightweight design of the Wind Turbine by Windcraft International allows it to be easily integrated into existing building infrastructures, making it suitable for retrofitting. Its low noise levels and flexible design make it ideal for urban areas or building rooftops where traditional horizontal-axis turbines may not be feasible. The simple production process (aluminum sheets pressed into curved blades and assembled with rivets) ensures compatibility with standard manufacturing workflows, minimizing complexity and cost.

Implementation support and training for manufacturers

There is only a prototype avaible right now, there is no current support for existing manufacturing firms.

Sustainability, compliance and certifications in the EU

This wind turbine meets EU standards for renewable energy solutions and environmental compliance. Its fully recyclable materials, minimal noise, and versatility align with European Union guidelines for sustainable technology.

Use cases

Example of successful implementation of solution in manufacturing company.

Windcraft International has developed a working prototype of its vertical axis wind turbine, which is ready for commercial implementation but has not yet been deployed in a manufacturing setting. The prototype demonstrates the turbine’s capability to generate energy efficiently, even in low or variable wind conditions. Designed with a double-bladed and modular structure, it offers quiet, compact, and flexible energy solutions ideal for urban environments. Windcraft is currently seeking an investor or a manufacturing partner interested in adopting this innovative technology to showcase its potential impact on energy savings and sustainability.

Case studies or testimonials showcasing the impact of the solution on real-world operations.

Since the Windcraft International wind turbine is still in the prototype phase, there are no case studies from real-world manufacturing implementations yet.
